SMOKED PRAWN CARBONARA
Ingredients
2 packets of Natural Norfolk Bay Gourmet Seafoods Wood Smoked Prawns
300g Spaghettini
4 slices of bacon, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
100g cream cheese
200ml cream and 200ml milk, or more, as needed
1/2 cup frozen peas
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley leaves
Instructions
Step 1: Cook pasta according to package instructions.
Step 2: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add bacon and cook until brown and crispy, about 6-8 minutes. Transfer bacon to a paper towel-lined plate.
Step 3: Add garlic to the skillet and cook, stirring frequently, until fragrant.
Step 4: Season prawns with basil, oregano, salt and pepper. Add prawns to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 2-3 minutes.
Step 5: Stir in cream cheese, milk, cream and peas until well combined, about 1-2 minutes. If the mixture is too thick, add more cream as needed.
Step 6: Stir in pasta and bacon.
Step 7: Serve immediately, garnished with Parmesan and parsley. Enjoy!
